Located less than a 100 m away from the Ponte Vecchio this centralli located trattoria is excellent value for money. You will find it on a narrow street called Via Stracciatella, to the left of Piazza di S.
I did not want to hijack Ronald's thread on Sardinia and the G8, but following a post on the same topic by Adriatica and my own commennt, I thought that it may be interesting for many to see what we are talking about.
Well, he (Zilli) obviously knows how to promote his business, which does not necessarily mean that his cooking is any good. But then, some people like to go to "fashionable" restaurants, even if what they serve is not particularly memorable. I notice that Zilli has not been awarded any Michelin star. On the other hand, Locatelli has.
What seems to be clear, at least for me, is that the old generation should retire to allow the younger ones to prove their worth. Italy is full of mummies, both right and left.
I think that this confirms what a local geometra told my husband, that they were trying to update the "catasto" because, as from next year, taxes will be calculated on the habitable area of the house, instead of the built area. As we updated everything about a couple of years ago, we have nothing to worry. Actually, we may end up paying less as our walls are more than 70cm thick!!!!

I totally agree with you, they do not have a clear leader...or then, they may surprise us. It will be interesting to watch.
Thank you, Badger. My mistake. The link is www.comunebagnidilucca.it and you have to enter the Rete Civica section.
There is a recent publication in the Comune's site regarding heating device and systems www.bagnidilucca.it (Rete Civica)
Yes, you would need approval.
Yes, I agree with Fillide. After 5 years ownership, whether prima casa or holiday home, no capital gains tax. At least for the time being.....
