Located less than a 100 m away from the Ponte Vecchio this centralli located trattoria is excellent value for money. You will find it on a narrow street called Via Stracciatella, to the left of Piazza di S.

It is that time of the year again! Plants see to thrive, but the terrible weeds do it as well.

I did not want to hijack Ronald's thread on Sardinia and the G8, but following a post on the same topic by Adriatica and my own commennt, I thought that it may be interesting for many to see what we are talking about.

I think that it could work; but they will catch small fish only. The big ones have nothing to fear. On the other hand, I agree that this is not  very constructive measure. More effective ones will be needed.

Basically, it is a matter of good manners to inform the owners if you cannot keep an appointment. Unfortunately, good manners start to look as something of the past. You have my sympathy, Penny. It is very frustrating and having a young child getting the house ready for an inspection is more difficult.

Clever animals! Add a few ice cubes to their drinking water. They love that.

I am repeating the information contained in the other thread, as this one seems to be concentrating all the answers: Have a look at the Unopiù catalogue: http://www.unopiu.com/structures-pergolas-and-gazebos/1068/102/ and this item in particular: http://www.unopiu.com/esdra/782/116/ But you can look at the Arles and Dafne models as well. I think that this is what you are looking for. The cover is made of polycarbonate (not plastic) as glass is no longer used for safety reasons. Unopiù has products with an excellent quality. Prices are high, but you pay for quality. I think that the nearest shop for you would be the one near Florence,:  http://www.unopiu.com/espositoreDettaglio.plp?idContent=63866&idNazione=127 If you go there, have also a look at what Leroy Merlin at the I Gigli shopping Centre can offer. I saw them in France, but I cannot find them in their Italian catalogue. Good luck! Smeralda's suggestion about the blacksmith may also be a solution, particularly if you cannot find the size and shape that you need. As I said, Unopiù is expensive, but there is a big difference quality wise.

Taking into account that the geometra already has a few injunctions, it will be important to make him feel that he is carefully watched.

If a legal right of way exists, it would be recorded on the title. Sometimes it is not in full, but a reference is made to the original title where it is consigned. Read the full text and ask for a copy of the notary's title where the right of way is mentioned (I think it is expensive.... more than 200 euros for a copy unless you can convince your own notary to give you a copy. If it is not in writing... there is no official right of way.

Besides IKEA, you could try UNOPIU (www.unopiu.com), expensive but top quality and really beautiful. You could also find something suitable at LEROY MERLIN (www.leroymerlin.it) and they may have some offers or sales towards the end of the season, although the choice will be limited. Do not forget any of the BRICO shops and also CARREFOUR.

Hi Anne! I do hope that you will not have any trouble at Christmas with strikes. I will light a candle to Saint Christopher (patron saint for travellers) on your behalf. He may be able to convince the strikers wink There is a thread in the old forums that has lots of information regarding Christmas food: http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums/food-drink/7954-italian-christmas.html I wish you a lovely Christmas!

Hi, we are also in Bagni di Lucca, although we do not live there permanently. Umbria is a beautiful region, I love going there and it is not too far away from Bagni.
