Can anyone tell us if they have any experience of applying for an Italian credit card (or even if it is possible at all). We want to be able to purchase things on Ebay and our Paypal account needs to be linked to a credit card.Thank you.
Just in case anyone missed it and to provide the entertainment for our first night in the pub, here is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest - Norway!
Welcome to our new 'pub'. Looking forward to some interesting chats, late nights, lots of wine and parties etc......No seriously where shall we start?.........Moxie?
Very sorry not to have met you the other night at the meal - sounds like you had fun!Didn't put everyones full names down as wasn't sure if folk would mind (so used their initials), but basically I have had confirmation from 9 people plus we were told you wanted between 8 - 10 (more the merrier!) plus A & R, S, D, B, J & J, S & M (hope I havn't forgotten anyone)Then I have 2 ticket donations from friends who can't make it, and 3 more provisional ticket sales from friends who are waiting to find out if they are free. So around 31 so far including us lot.Love the bee lines - Mark will find you hillarious (he obviously thinks like you!). Take care. S & M
Thank you Terry, any new ideas or raffle prizes much appreciated! Look forward to meeting you at the BBQ. How many tickets would you like? (just so we can get a rough idea of numbers!).
Yes Penny, we had to have exactly the same as the original layout, including size of windows etc etc (we were in the Ascoli Province too). As far as we understood it is more or less impossible to change any of the existing layout.
Hi,We were told in Comunanza that the nearest shoe repair place to us (in Villa Conti) is at Roccaflouvione (not sure of the spelling) on the way to Ascoli. I wanted the zip repairing on my boots after my puppy chewed them, but we had a brief look the other day and couldn't see the shop.It is on the main road in the town - didn't have time to stop and ask as we were in a rush, but someone there must know. If you find it can you let us know!!!!
We have bought cuttings / bulbs over when driving down - never been a problem as we were not searched but don't think it is entirly legal - something to do with the bacteria in the soil. If you are driving down and don't go through Switzerland, then there is much less chance of being searched anyway. I know you can legally transport bulbs which have a certificate on them to say they have been tested/ treated. We flew with some blubs we bought in Amsterdam and this was fine. All our daffodils and snowdrops are doing fine and also the plants we bought from my Mums garden. Just can't seem to get any roses to grow but that must be down to our hard clay soil (looks like it would be great for making pots!).

A lovely copy of Italy's Sibillini National Park Walking and Trekking Guide, kindly donated by Sarah from Cicerone (the publishers).
