We require female/male models for a life drawing course. Does anyone know of an art college or art institution in Le Marche, preferrably the Ascoli Piceno region. The course is 4 days in July and residential.

Hi Babbyeddiedog, this is clearly over-priced. We've had our 3m3 tank emptied this year. It had been in use for around 4 years and this is the first time we had it emptied. It cost 180 Euros with no extra charge for getting rid off it. It was a professional comapny, not a local farmer. They even travelled quite a long distance to come to us. You really should just ring a few more companies for a better price. You will also receive a document from them that says how many litres they pumped out (the price is based on that). This is also your certificate that says that the stuff is being processed accurately in a treatment plant, not spread on farmers field, as I'm sure this is illegal even in Italy.

Hi Bunterboy, We need around 100m2 of roof insulation and are looking at shipping it our from UK. Looking at kingspan and also foil insulation option. Would consider a joint shipment (we are in Le Marche, so en-route). Who did you contact at Kingspan to get a good deal, Or if you found the foil insulation for a good price her in Italy, where did you manage to source it? The type of insulation we've been offered here is not worth the bother as the thermal values as so low. Thanks, regards.
Hi Amaretto, glad you made it including the Moggie. Pet passports are obligatory when entering any EU country, they just tend not to check so much here. We moved out to Le Marche with five cats four years ago. Sadly, none of them are alive any more. This is a dangerous country for cats, watch out especially for hunters come September 1st. Although, illegal, cats and dogs often get shot by ignorant (blind or plain stupid) hunters. Vipers can be a danger too and not to mention Italian drivers.... I'm sure your cat will be fine though as long as you are aware of the dangers. We are based near Force, if you're close, give us a sout (or a pm) if you need any advice on living out here). Always nice to welcome new arrivals to the area - so welcome to Le Marche. Good luck for your life out here
Not difficult to register for nursery or primary schools. If you are a registered resident, you can simply go to the Comune (or in our case the comune came to us to make sure we registered our toddler as they are desperate for kids. If you are a non-resident you may want to consider home-schooling as you can then at least follow the UK Syllabus. The primary school system here is very antiquated and offers only few subjects. Might be worth comparing the Italian & UK National curriculum first. Your kids need to be vaccinated to go to school here.
Hi, you can also consider continuing with your NI payments in the UK. It costs very little (around10 Pounds a month) and you are entitled to carry on with your NI cover for up to 2.5- 3 years (thereabouts) provided your last NI payment has not been not been made more than 3 years ago. well, since our little bundle is due next month, I'll probably have the chance to find out then when registering the birth. although, we don't want Italian citizenship for our baby, I might be able to find out from the registrar and let you know. It still leaves you with 3 months to go then. I'll keep you posted after the birth.
Hi Penny, when I enquired about the citizenship issue, I was told the child has the right to opt for Italian citizenship at the age of 18 if living here permanently. It has to be applied for within one year of becoming 18. being born here gives you the right to choose to be Italian once 18 but is not given automatically unless one parent is Italian as it still goes by blood-line. That was the explanation given by the German consulate and the infor I found on the Italian Konsulate site. I also found the same details you copied in your post and found them equally unclear, hence I contacted my embassy. Not sure if they have compulsory military service here though? If so, then a boy opting for citiezenship at 18 could be called up. Just something to bear in mind. regards, Jana
