We require female/male models for a life drawing course. Does anyone know of an art college or art institution in Le Marche, preferrably the Ascoli Piceno region. The course is 4 days in July and residential.
Quando la Pittura Incontra il Teatro e la MusicaFor a really special treat this weekend visit the "When painting meets theatre and music" art exhibition by Dutch artist Aat van Rijin in Montefalcone this weekend.
You can save yourself a huge amount of money if you have a van or someone to get the stuff for you from France. Try www.lapeyre.fr where you can order all your windows and doors on average at a quarter of the cost of buying anywhere in Italy. You would need to choose the store closest to you over the border in France. Online orders can be placed for a 20% credit card deposit and they take approx 2-3 weeks until you can get collect the stuff from that store. They have a large range of standard sizes but will make to order which may take a little lomger. If you know someone in France or speak French yourself you can ring the store before collection to ensure it's ready for pick-up. We have made numerous trips for all sorts of stuff and even adding the cost of travelling from Le Marche we still save a huge amount each time. If you're prepared to do a little internet reasearch into it you can save thousands and get good quality products
Hi Helen & Brian, apart from the weather situation, you shopuld be aware that you have to pay for annual roadtax in switzerland. so if you drive before Xmas you pay for 2009 and when you return (after new year), you also pay for 2010. It's between 40 and 60 Euros per year. We usully go via France and find that the roads are very well maintained in winter. So you might want to avoid Switzerland altogether. Try this site for the weather www.weatheronline.co.uk/France.htm. You need to choose the region you're going through according to the route you choose. Best wishes to you both for a Merry Christmas, John and Jana
This all sounds a right legal nightmare. We are a couple with one partner being English and the other German. We tried making a will with a lawyer here over three years ago that would allow us to leave our property to each other, not to the surviving partner's family, as we are not married. Needless to say, 3 years on and we are still waiting to sign an actual document. As we, in the meantime had one child with dual citizenship and are expecting another child soon, the originial will seems pointless. Our lawyer back then told us that any off-spring would get the assests anyway. In case of a surviving partner, that person would only get habitation rights, but the house itself would get directly to the children. Any thoughts on that? Is a will still advisable or even necessary to ensure that succession laws of only one country, lets say the Italian or UK law would apply? Or should we try to transfer the Italian house directly into the name of our children to avoid all these problems in the first place Thanks for any advice.
As you are out in the countryside you should be receiving the rural discount (as mentioned by another reply). You may have had a form to fill in some time ago but didn't return it. At least I think that's what happened to us last year. I didn't fill in the form that came in the post as I had already signed it when first signing for the 2 year minimun contract. I also had to pay 92c plus IVA. I only realized afterwards that you have to fill in the form to receive the discount again. It seems some companies require you to fill in the form periodically to prove you are still eligible. You best ring them up and ask for why you don't get the discount. GPL prices are as low as 54 cent at petrol stations even, and the house gas prices are usually no more than an extra 10 cent more.
Seems like a lot of people are doing salads already. Can add some to the list or if people think it's a good idea, I can make a variety of sweet pastry such as small fruit pastry bits. We got lots of strawberrries at the moment and people might enjoy it with a glass of wine.
Welcome Mike and Terry, you're not too far from us in Force and we pass by through Venarotta quite frequently, so plenty of chances to meet. Will see you at the BBQ then (apparently I'm pouring the drinks I was told). So look out for us on the 21st June. Have two dogs as well, our newbie just arrived from the L'Aquila dog home today.
Hi Kevan,Ask Mary she knows the nearest one that'll work for you. She told me that the banks around here (the Provincial ones like carisap, etc) don't pay their subscriptions for certain international services anymore. If you're with Barclays their Visa link is probably not active anymore as it cost them money. You may have more luck with a maestro or similar.
Not sure I have the energy in this heat but put me down for a copy, something to do in the autumn, no doubt. Just need to train the dog to carry the todd.
