Hi - I am Mimosa and I am a virgin. Well - when I say that I mean to all this!! I am a bit flummoxed with the whole thing to be honest but hey what's new.
Don't know if you would be interested Santamarinese but I have a couple of chutney recipes and a delicious red pepper marmalade one and they keep really well if not eaten up too quickly!! - let me know.
Love the sound of the "pasticcio de polenta" - I guess it's time I 'took the plunge' and bought some polenta and got cooking -and eating - will let you know the results!
I'm afraid the first and last time I tried polenta was in Northern Italy about 30 years ago. It was served with pigs trotters and lentils at New Year which I believe is traditional - hated it !! BUT I like your suggestion Gromit so I might just have another go. Anyone got any more serving suggestions?
Agree totally Serge - any jobs needed doing on the land is done between 6-8am and then off to the beach till about 11.30 - home - lunch - siesta - shower - drinkies on the terrace and a late supper - leave all the mad dogs and englishmen to their peril!!!
Would agree with Valentina's suggestions. For us - once established - oleander, geraniums and bougainvillea grow well unattended but your problem will be with the watering if you are not here 'full-time'.
Just re-read your comments Pilchard and laughed out load at the thought of being covered in bright red nail-varnish blobs - could start a new trend - eh?
