Grazie mille Valentina..................all and any tips will help me.............I findit VERY frustrating that I cannot be my 'normal' chatty self when surrounded by Italians! When I DO 'have a go'..............I have quite a few words in my mental vocabulary BUT I miss (and mess up) badly the little joiny up words, is there a SIMPLE rule upon which I can build? Si end up saying things likes of tutt aposto?.....Il tempo e molte bene eh?..............full stop !!! The other issue is when I DO make contact, the other chap(or chap-ess) may respond in dialetto!!!!!!!!!! Tough tough tough!! Thanks for your help though!

I like the idea of a reports board on these sort of 'things'...................It gives Italians a bad name, we were at a 'beach' restaurant (Quadrofolgio) this Monday lunchtime and the bill came to 36euros, which we were happy with for what we had, and I presented 40euros to pay the bill. Smiley waiter(who spoke a bit of English) didn't even offer to give me the 4euros change. I wasn't bothered as such but thought it a bit cheeky!!??? Anyway later on I thought................ actually, that was not cheeky, that's a rip off. I will be going back and I if it happens again I will be telling him in no uncertain terms that I will decide if and how much to tip !!
HOW do I say thanks on this system? It's now VERY workable but to be able to say thanks would be nice?................I must be missing something!!!!!!!!! I'll keep looking,..................

I've not been but have heard (generally) good things about it......................I am appalled about the double priced menu................unless it is advertised as such surely it is illegal ?What can we do ??! Help anyone??
Our favorite 'mountain' ristorante by a milewhen taking friends. AND the fact that it located in this tiny, (almost) ramshackle hamlet !!! It's a delight.......................
