My final recommendation for mountain restaurants (at least for the moment) is La Cittadella, again in Montemonaco. A wonderful mountain retreat with a pool with probably the best view in Marche!

Another lovely restaurant in the mountains. For good, hearty mountain food this is really excellent. We ate some of the best prosciutto I have ever eaten here, followed by cinghiale in Vernaccia with pappardelle - delicious!

I know this was on the old forum but I thought it was worth mentioning again. The restaurant Il Tiglio in Isola San Biagio (just outside Montemonaco) is something very different to the other restaurants in this area.

No you won't need a new Codice Fiscale but you will need to tell the Agenzia delle Entrate that you have moved addresses. You just need to go to the local Agenzia delle Entrate with your codice fiscale, photo id and some proof of your new address. Oh, and take a good book
Yes and we've also just sold my husband's place. His ex- has just sold her place too. So it's not just theory but reality, luckily. Fingers crossed for my house now.
Fabulous experience and don't forget to look round Castello Pallotta in Calderola afterwards. We do a bike tour that includes lunch here and all our customers have loved it.
I am sure you will have a fantastic time! We run a cycling business in the Sibillinis so know them very well. I would definitely recommend a guide at that time of year due to the weather conditions. It may be dry and sunny or foggy and snowy or anywhere in between and you really need a local to help you with this. The weather reports just aren't accurate enough for you to go DIY IMHO unless you just stick to the easiest, shortest walks. Avalanches and rock falls do happen here so it is important to be safe. How you go about arranging this depends on whether you speak Italian. If you do, I would recommend contacting the Amandola or Sarnano branch of CAI to locate a guide, alternatively call the rifugio at Fargno or Amandola as they also have lists of guides. Depending on which part of the Sibillinis you want to walk, we can recommend some agriturismi. Let us know where you plan to go and we'll send you a list. If you don't speak Italian, then why don't you drop us a PM or email and we can put something together for you. We'll make all the arrangements based on your requirements and can even do an airport pickup if you don't want to hire a car. Good luck with whatever you decide and hop you have a fantastic holiday. PS - if you do hire a car, remember to book your snowchains.
Your geometra/architect should produce the computo metrico. This should then be given (without prices) to several builders who all quote for the job based on this document. It is a very important document in any renovation as without it, how do you know what work is included and what isn't? They run to several pages and are very detailed.

The local is correct. You have to take out residency in the comune where your house is to qualify. You can, however usually extend the 18 months if your house isn't ready. you must do this before it expires. Speak to your geometra about it as he will have to provide evidence the house is not finished etc.
