I've attempted to search on here with no success. Does anyone have the details of an Italian Lawyer in Umbria specialising in wills. Ideally S/he will also speak English so that nothing is lost in translation. I have previously used and English

The area of Umbria where my place is has very hard water and I'm considering having a softening device added to the water system. I see it as a way of reducing costs and maintenance.
I plan to retire to Italy in 3 - 4 years time and leave the UK permanently. I no longer want to pay any tax to this country (UK) but worry that I may be financially worse off in Italy.
Does anybody know whether Ryanair are running winter schedules from Liverpool to Rome or Pisa. At the moment they end on 30 October and it seems that there is nothing happening beyond that date. I wondered if Mr O'Leary was having a go back at t

I have a vodaphone dongle which costs 10€ for a month (runs from day taken out to same day the following month) but I only have to pay when I use it, so at the moment my three visits a year cost 30€. It gives me 50 hours use per month, which is ample for checking e-mails and a little bit of surfing. Downside is the speed, which on a bad day is bloody slow and on a good day a bit faster.
My next payment (non resident) is due on 16 December. That is for Terni and I'm assuming it is the same everywhere else. I'm not sure if the Government have continued with their nil payments for residents.
Thanks for the reply. Looks like I have at least three options. It will give me the opportunity to work on my improving (slowly) Italian, reading all the details.
Thanks for your original respose, it looks interesting. At the moment we are non resident and plan to move there permanantly next May. When we move I don't want to see my meagre pension carved away by the banks (tax is bad enough) so I'm looking for a service that charges little or nothing.
Thanks, I will
Thanks and good luck. It's only 45 miles from us so there is a damn good chance we will be buzzed and we both hate marmite.
I've posted a question as acomment, hope you see it.
We are having a place built near Marsciano and will move there next year. My wife has always been a magnet for biting insects, so I need to prepare for war, if there is to be one.
Umbria was our choice for a number of reasons. 1 The views from our place are superb in all sorts of weather (sagraiasolar is right about location). 2 Our village is not on the tourist trail and the people are really warm and friendly. 3 Age of the property, ours is relatively new but looks older due to the superb building work. 4 Location to nearest big town is 15 minutes on a bad day so all amenities are easily accessible. 5 Low tourists means local prices everywhere and more Italian spoken. Price played a part because we wanted to buy in Tuscany. On reflection we made the right choice for us as we are more at home in working communities as we enjoy the simple life. The other choice was Le Marche but my wife insisted on Umbria so that is where we are.
They do charge for the full 56 litres and fortunately we were running on fumes at the end, primarily because of an accident on the autostrada that meant we missed our plane.
