Hi Omalley, cannot give you any advice but thought I'd say hello anyways and wish you good luck with the move. I have family in Valvori, village in the mountains which overlooks Cassino, its a lovely place where abouts are you moving too if you dont mind me asking? Kevin
I am UK based and I got my CF from the consulate in Manchester in May this year with no problem, and no Italian address. I only supplied my UK address. Kevin
Hi Maralyn, we used that English shop in Cassino a few years ago to buy some bits and pieces for the kids, you could have picked me up off the floor when I saw the prices not been back since though. I guess its down to supply and demand and what people are willing to pay.
PennyAw, I never tire of the Monestary, its unbelievable looking at it now that it was flattened during the war with so much loss of life and devestation to the surrounding area.
FromNowOn, Valvori is great, sits kind of in a dip on the top of a big hill(1000m) with mountains behind it, with the added bonus that we can see Montecasino from one or the windows. I'd be pacing up and down if I were in your shoes, so near yet so far! I'm fairly lucky regarding the Italian way of doing things, I worked for Italians for my first 18 years of employment , and got used to the " Why do it today if it will keep until another day" attitude. Fingers crossed all goes smoothy with completion. Kevin
