Friend just came into pub and all the boys suddenly seemed fascinated with their own shoes! Is it an English thing? Will be looking after him at funeral this week x
Pamela..books etc may help, but the best thing to do is just talk about him with her..just lost a good friend this week (young, bless her) Husband just needs to talk, but people seem to find it hard to discuss it(not sure if that's the usual British thing) Just be there for her..x
All the Calabrese do the Mambo like a crazy..check out Dean Martin or Rosemary Clooney!! New to all this ..think it's a great site ( or bel sito as it were)
Found one of the best ways to get to grips with grammar etc is watching films with subtitles(Italian to English and vice versa) Currently on uk tv is Inspector Montalbano with Italian subtitles(also available on dvd).Worth watching just for the scenery. Also, reading crappy Italian gossip magazines.Oggi,Gente etc seems to help (no doubt next weeks editions will have photos of Kate topless)!
Haven't got a clue how to send a link so I will send you a pm as to how I found the advert of the lady who is looking (it's a bit long winded that's all).Just checked where she is and it looks like a nice hour and a half scenic drive! However...as a last measure there is a new "cattery" opened last month at Collestrada(just by Perugia airport) Again, haven't got a clue, but if you google "Perugia Today..La Provincia dona al canile di Collestrada un ricovero per gatti" they may be able to help. Please let me know how you get on..worried now!
Hi,I have been in touch with my Italian friends who have asked around for you. There is a web site they have forwarded (in Italian !) There is an advert on there for somebody who is looking for a kitten in the Perugia area.Don't know if you can read Italian(or maybe someone on here can help) if you would like me to send details Hopefully we can find them a good home(somehow)
Hard copy just arrived and...opened it and erm finished it in one go.What a fantastic read, absolutely brilliant.Won't ask you when the sequel is 'cos everyone is already asking that on Amazon!! Loved the positive feedback on a certain site, apart from the grammar nazi.."Me and her should be She and I..we were sat should be we were sitting or we were seated..Alright should be all right" etc etc etc..I'm sure she was just trying to be helpful !!! Can I put feedback on Amazon saying that I have just read the hard copy? Well done again, loved it.Oh,and yes, been to the Butchers Arms many times,my ex next door neighbour from Cliff Rd has bought a house a few doors up from there...so that's handy!
Qui Ja...would like the book sending t'England if you can...What about that Amazonian thing? Is it worth buying one o' them Kinder things? Spud,ex Leeds and ex Holmfirth !!!!!
