Having dreams of opening a small supper club/restaurant. Might anyone know what documents/ certificates/licenses one would need before braving such a venture?
I know peoples spending habits differ, but does anyone really know how much they spend living in Italy, say over a period of a year? I know some spend more then others but I’m really looking for that ‘middle of the road’ figure.
Looking at a property located near Triora (IM) with the option of buying surrounding lands. Does anyone know the going rate for land in this area? Many thanks,
Our house: 170 meters divided over 2 floors, 500 years old, 4 meter high ceilings and located 800 meters up the Maritime Alps. We have a small wood burning stove on the 2nd floor that does a wonderful job of heating the upper floor.
Seems I've come across a great resource! Having recently bought a place in the wonderful village of Triora in Liguria, I'm thinking this will prove an excellent 'guide' to all things associated with the 'dolce vita'.Hello All!!))
We live in Moscow..(but I'm not Russian).. and own a place in Liguria. I've seen a big interest amongst Russians looking to buy properties in Liguria. The French/Italian Riviera's have been a favorite with the more affluent Russians stretching back centuries so I'm sure that has something to do with it.. Spend a day in Nice, Monaco or San Remo and you'll hear Russian being spoken at almost every turn. I think the Russian market is probably the most attractive in terms of 'disposable income' right now, and will continue to be for some time. Unfortunately, many people looking to sell a property wouldn't know how to go about tapping this market. If anyone would like to try, shoot me a note:)
Howdy Neighbor! Great little restaurant in your village with fantastic pizza and pasta….can’t remember the name though… Give me a shout if you make it up to Triora sometime. We can grab a beer:) By the way... there are some great properties for sale up here..may be worth a look!
Let me try a different angel.. A family of two would be able to sustain a decent standard of living in Northern Italy (no rent or mortgage payments) with an expenditure of:
Don’t suppose you could throw me a link?? I found the Italian website, but can’t seem to find any price…I’m not real keen on the oil/gas option. Our house was heated with a wood burner in the winters growing up in the states and I really love the feel/sound/smell/look it gives. As for lugging wood around.. I could use the exercise:)
I have. He gave me a quote for 2500 euro (without installation) and said it would heat the whole house. Just thought I'd check here before shelling out that much money.

Thank you both for the insight. I should clarify.. 4 meters ceilings only in the kitchen and the upstairs living room.
