May we have another advice? This time regarding primary schools in Le marche. Is it difficult to register, etc and how much to pay? Any recommended key person contacts? Thanks for all your time.
Hi everyone. Hope weather's better wherever you are in Italy. It's chuckin it here oop North. Just wondering if anyone knows of a local clinic who needs an English-speaking nurse.
Greetings to all. Hope you've had a good Christmas and New Year. We're moving to Le Marche in the summer, hoping for a slower pace of life (hurrah!). I thought of posting a message to our fellow Brits now settled in Italy who are having difficulty
Just go with it. Yes, do your research etc., but I bet you will succeed in this venture if you don't lose your enthusiasm. We're bringing tea bags (good old yorkshire T) and brown sauce for our own use. You snooze, you lose. You're obviously proactive, so good on you. At least you're doing something different and rather important. All the best, Joy
Yes, we have more van space than expected! Good news to others who live in Le Marche. We can bring your stuff from the UK to your homes there. Goods insurance also now in place (good for both UK and Europe). We can collect next week so please pm us and we can arrange collection. See you in 2 weeks...
Do it! Do it! Can't wait to bring all my shop stock to Le Marche for anyone wanting antiques/vintage stuff. Initially asked around about starting an antiques shop and apparently I shall be taxed to death, so might consider the old cantina for storage/showroom. I'm up for it Danno... Good luck.
Haven't forgotten. You're our first client! And our "buena mano" ( my spanish mum refers to any first business transaction). So should be a good venture. So see you very soon, Anne.
Hi Carri, Please p.m. us the measurements and item location in the UK. It would be anything between £280-£450 depending on the size, location and how soon you want it. Items will be insured. Thanks for your interest. Regards, Joy
Having only 2 months left in the UK before the big move to Italy, only just started the BBC Talk Italian lessons kit (£6.99, includes 2 cds and booklet). And also used the BBC website for Italian language. Brilliant for absolute beginners like me. Had been on the internet watching re-runs of Italian soaps to check my listening comprehension. One day, I shall be able to fully understand. You can do it, Cilla. All my very best, Joy
