Hello to everyone here! I seem to have arrived with a bit of a bang, haven't I. I'm sorry about that but, having read some of the obvious trolling that had been going on I felt compelled to speak out.
I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but it seems to be the only place I can put it. My question is fairly simple (I hope). I have a 7.5 tonne van and am looking to bring it over with me to Italy when I finally move here full-time (next
Because, "herealready", most of the unpleasant posts were from people from your "other" forum. Very simple to see that. Mrs "D" - thank you for that. I know that the people that post on here without an agenda are all nice people. It is just the ones that try so hard to bring this one into disrepute that I dislike - not you at all ... shhhhhh! Beery.
No, Dylano, I'm not confusing the forums at all. British Expats is perfectly reasonable - it is the Italiasomething-or-the-other one that is the one I am talking about when I refer to bitter posters and organised attacks on this one, led by the moderator there. Very unpleasant lot, if you ask me.
Might I offer a thought here? I'm a real "newbie", so I think I can speak without any "baggage" from other forums to cloud my view. Yes, I have been reading what has been said here recently and, yes, I have followed the supplied links to another forum to see what's what. I have to say that I was surprised to find a forum that seems to be dedicated at spoiling this one, without any apparent reason other than sour grapes and hyper-inflated egos to support their stance. Still, this is the internet, I suppose, so anything goes - and does - in the battle of egos that is always happening (usually between bored American kids, it must be added). It is a real shame, as it causes this site to look as though it is populated by cynical, boring people - and the other one just looks like a place to go if you want to harm this one. All a bit of a shame. I'm sure the reason a few people were so cynical toward "Tess" was simpy due to expecting yet another "raid" from the members of the other forum - not because of any personal animosity toward her. Tess got the battering just because posters here were expecting yet another raid by aliens from the other group. A shame, as there is certainly plenty of space for a forum that is there to offer help and encouragement to other people (such as myself) with the intention to make a life in Italy, rather than a closed club solely for the amusement of those that are already esconced here or because you have the desire to be nasty to another website for reasons of your own. The kind of forum that Italy Mag has been trying to provide - but without the snipers and sneak raids from embittered people with seemingly very little to occupy their lives other than bitter and sour grapes. Just a couple of observations that I hope will be taken as encouragement to the people that organised and run this forum for Italy-lovers. Thank you. Beery
I would pick 3 - followed closely by Coca Cola (by you-know-who). Thinking about it, I would prefer to listen to Vasco - because there are many more Floyd tracks better than I think. Still, can't argue with the Vatican,
I always thought they were for washing your bottom - or front and back bottom if you are a woman. Really good for stopping skid mark on your underpants and sheets as well. I'm not sure I would be keen to drink your beer after it has been sloshing around in the place I wash my arse though, alan_h. Thanks for asking though. :D
