Could anyone let me know the implications of renting out your property long term in Sardinia, what length of lease would be expected, would I be able to charge a returnable bond (the property is furnished to a high standard) what tax would I have
Morning, we are in Uras, Oristano region. Thanks for yr reply, will try Trony/Euronics.In England at moment, so hope the weather is better over in Sardinia.
Afternoon pas55, we are in S.E. Sardinia, could you tell me the Italian version of freeview's name, and do you think an old skybox we have at home in England would work out here? Thanks for yr reply in advance.
Hi there, don't know how to personal message you, so if you could help me out that would be geat, have photo's, also my friends have a B&B in Uras and if you actually wanted to see it while you are visiting Puglia, I am sure they would be only too pleased to show you our house. Once I know how to send you a p.m. will get straight on it ( and don't worry we don't want lots of money in rent)
I would say if you are used to city life, stick with the city life when you retire, too much of a culture shock being in a small/rural village or town in Italy, we have a place in Sardinia, and as much as we love it, we know we would be driven mad by the peace and quiet if we lived there - I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. If you are used to everything being on your doorstep, you will miss it, simple as that.
Hi there, not sure if you would be interested but I am looking at renting out my place in Uras about 20 mins drive from Oristano - It is a 2 bed fully furnished to a high standard - we are not using it as often as we would like, and it needs living in - Uras is next door to Teralba and about 25 mins to the lovely costa verde beaches.
Thank you, the property is fully furnished, I was wary of letting it on the 4/4 lease, it seems a long term, especially as you don't know your tenant, I feel easier knowing I can let it with a lease up to 18 months, do you have any idea on the fees - we have totally refurbished our house, new plumbing, electrics, bathroom, kitchen, and paid for all the necessary certificates, we have now been told we need another certificate costing aprox 250 euros - to proove that all the above has been done - only in Italy.Onc again thank you
Hi, have a 2 bed town house in south west Sardinia - fully furnished to a high standard, with front yard and back yard, with a balcony for outside space - let me know if you would be interested
Our house tax has trebled we were payint 120 euro a year, and we now pay 360 euro a year, this is because it is classed as a holiday home, we are not residents in Sardinia, we love our house, and Sardinia, so although it makes it more expensive, we would not give up our Sardinian home
