Personal belongings

I have some property belonging to another person in my parents house in Italy. The owner is aware it is there and has expressed a wish to collect it. I have tried to find help regarding the law on how long they have to collect before I can dispose of it as I wish. All I could find was the British law, which states 6 months and the American law which states one month. Any help will be much appreciated.

Not sure if I understand your query. Why do you need to get rid of it? Seems a bit harsh just to contemplate disposing of someone's goods by reference to a time limit. At the very least you should give fair notice.

Do not judge me harshly. You do not know and do not need to know the circumstances which led up to the question being asked. Fair notice has been given (1 year). I just wish to know if there is an equivalent law in Italy regarding belongings. (British law being 6 months notice).
