Hi,I don't actually know how to move in Abruzzo so I can't recommend you anyone in particular to go to, the tip I can give you is that you need an estate agency for buying and a building surveyor(Geometra) or an Engineer or an Architect to follow the job and the bureaucratic practices ( English speaker will be better otherwise you need a translator). For my experience, you should commission an Expert like a Geometra (Building Surveyor) or Engineer out of the estate agency, to give a look at the house you want to buy so he can tell about the house seismic conformity and so on. I know this because I do this job in Lunigiana (North of Tuscany)If you need any tip, just text me back or send me an email, here my website with my contactshttps://www.lunigianabuilders.com/Good LuckGiovanni

Draw a line east of Penne and the earthquake risk (which of course is throughout Italy) is a lot less. As for an agent, then look for a proper registered (FIAIP) agent. We bought in 2010 and some of the property we looked at is still on the market now... The hassle and worry of doing somewhere up would put me off, but you may be different.

We are currently buying a property in Fara San Martino and love our realtors (they also do restoration work). Our contact is Dave (he's British) and their website is www.vignaverde.com. We live in the US, so it's not a straightforward process, but Dave and his partners have been very helpful with all of the details. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I own a home in Tocco da Casauria. I also lived in Los Angeles for 35 years. I am used to earthquakes. My house is very old and doesn't have any damage from earthquakes. I used an agent in Pescara. . Fabrizio di Santis is the agent's name. He helped me purchase the property and find contractors who are local to the city to do any renovations needed. I feel save, the people are amazing.
