We bought a house in a small village in

We bought a house in a small village in Abruzzo 14 years ago. At the time the address of our property seemed to be in doubt but they settled on an address that was actually duplicated in the village (we are just outside the village).  There has been no problem with this as far as we know and all bills correspondence etc have always come to us.  Last year a new road sign was put up at the end of our road, when we arrived in May someone from our local Commune had screwed a new doorsign on the wall next to the front door.  We have had no correspondence from the Commune to inform us of this and does this mean we will have to now change all utilities, bank etc to this new address? Just wondering if anyone had experienced this before? The thought of having to do all this with our limited Italian is a nightmare! Thanks, Sue

We have the phone, water, electric and TARI come through as bills and ALL have the address different. They have always been like that since we moved here and have always arrived. I do know of a reasonable size village whereby the comune renumbered ALL te houses. See how it goes or ask the comune if they have notified the poste.
