When not designing couture fashions, Giorgio Armani has been focusing on expanding his hotel empire. The latest luxury property opened recently in Milan to a celebrity-filled welcoming reception.
The “palazzo” is the second hotel Armani has built in his adopted hometown of Milan. The 95 rooms offer a luxurious crash pad for Milan visitors, overlooking the city skyline.
The star-studded inauguration was attended by Barbara Berlusconi, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jessica Alba. Celebrities filled the building, which also houses Armani Privé boutique and Armani/Nobu restaurant.
Unsurprisingly, all of the furnishings come from the Armani Home collection.
Rooms start at 500 Euro, but high rollers can splash out for the 11,000 Euro Presidential suite.
The famous fashion designer hasn’t ruled out a late life career change- saying that he wouldn’t mind a fresh start as an architect.
