This week Italy kicked off the one-year countdown to the start of Milan Expo 2015 with a special event organized by the city of Milan administration and the Milan Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Rai 1. "Expo in the City" unveiled more than 130 events that will take place in the city during the month of May 2015 to launch the Universal Exposition that will run from the 1st of may until the 31st of october 2015.
Feeding the planet, Energy for life, is the theme chosen for the event and all the countries attending the exposition will tackle issues regarding nutrition, food and sustainability.
Andrea Bocelli performed live with the RAI Orchestra and launched "La forza del sorriso" (literally "The strength of a smile"), Milan Expo's official soundtrack. Bocelli wrote the lyrics while the music is by Andrea Morricone, the son of legendary soundtrack composer Ennio Morricone. Enjoy the song and the video below:
