It seems that the comeback of the greatest Formula 1 driver was just too good to be true. Schumacher announced today that he can't run for Ferrari,
"I did the best I could to make it possible. Unfortunately, it has not worked". The news puts Ferrari back in a difficult situation. Both fans and the team were delighted to have Schumi back in the driving seat but pains to the neck and the overall physical condition of the champion are simply not up to par with the demands required of an F1 driver.
Schumacher had said last week, after a doctor's check, that it would be necessary to see how his body would react out in the racing track. Unfortunately, the outcome is that the strains to the neck are just to much making it impossible to race.
In the meantime, Ferrari has announced that Luca Badoer (their test driver) will replace Schumacher in Valencia's race.
