Is there any chance we could get the input filter sorted so that comments appear formatted the way they should - I put a comment here which should have line breaks, paragraphs and a quotation (available on the text editor) but these don't work and the result looks a confusing mess https://www.italymagazine/community/post/beware-insect-stings#comment-2552

It would be really good if you could take a look at the input formats and fix. I had the same problem with using the filtered input that came by default - can't remember fix but I think I just changed the order of filters - here is what it currently looks like and it now works fine
