In Australia our drivers licences are a credit card type with our photo embedded in the card. For car hire and to meet Italian traffic law do Ialso require an "International licence" or is the photo ID enough.ThanksMark

You need an International Driving Permit, which in the USA is obtained from AAA/American Automobile Association. I'm sure there's something similar in Austraila. What the law requires is a copy of your license in Italian...and the IDP suffices. Sally
