Hello everyone!  I'm doing some refurb works, nothing too huge, on my single storey house between Scicli and sampieri and am trying to decide whether to install metal security bars in the windows. I'm not over keen but would be cool with it if necessary. The hosue is in the country side, but not isolated. There are neigbours that border my surrounding land (large garden) and another neigbour across the road.I'l be using the house as holiday home for quick visits from London and perhaps in a few years, I may start spending more time there, ie: a month or 2 at a time. My concern obviously is burglary, however, most of the interior will be fitted, kitchen, bathroom joinery in bedrooms, hence, the only things that wouldn't be, are the TV, Sofa, Table and chairs. I'm very minimalst in interior and defo wouldn't keep valuables in there. The most concern is when people are staying there, would the bars deter a break in?  The general vibe around the area is tranquil and not at all threatening, however,people tend to be split between the idea of the metal bars.....Would appreciate any feed back, particulary for people who might know the area.
