Hi.  I help to run a small group

Hi. I help to run a small group teaching Italian to absolute beginners and have to give a short presentation lasting no more than two or three minutes. I'd like to encourage them to recite or enact a simple poem/sketch. There will be 5 or 6 participants, all adults. Does anybody have any suggestions for suitable material please? Many thanks, Jan.

If they're absolute beginners you could be jumping in the deep end, but if you really want to, then choose a simple song lyric that they will know - play it and write it on the board. Then all say it together. That way they wont feel useless. All Italians seem to know Imagine and Hotel California!

Many thanks indeed for such a quick reply. I realise I am asking a lot from them but the idea of the presentation is a little out of my hands. Fortunately, it only needs to be short and several of them seem to be willing to do it!
