I cant see it being workable frankly. Those who have lots of money will pay people to hide it all. Those who have virtually nil will get it taken away. But the laws on privacy etce tc - I thought it was meant to include current and deposit accounts, but I dont think the Italians have got a computer big enough yet, and I cant see foreign govts blithely handing over details of granny's xmas savings account. Originally it was for people who used a foreign company to get out of paying Italian tax, but its a tough one with a single market!
