Revisione - Italian MOT equivalent

We have recently had a revisione carried out on our car (the equivalent to a UK MOT test).We were not given a certificate as far as i can see so my question is.... is this info all held on computer do paper certificates are not needed??Or should I pop back to the garage and ask for the relevant paperwork?
