Yes.  But you will be required to 'import' it into Italy after 6 months, and pay to have it provided with italian plates etc. 

You cannot keep a right hand drive car for more than one year in Italy.  Insurance is very expensive and the Italian system works on a 14 years no claim bonus situation which starts from year l when you come here. They will not accept uk bonus here at all.
