We opened up a proper account with Enel with a codice fiscale . This was not a problem to provide a phone number in which to receive the code. This had nothing to do with a having .bank account. We pay our bills online with PayPal.

We had the same issue , my Italian neighbour gave me her mobile number and she received the code which she emailed to me. It seems they just want a number to send a code.Perhaps someone on this forum can help you by giving you their Italian number and finding a set time to send you the code.
Congratulations on your registration! I understand your excitment my codice came up as not working as well at one point. I anticipate my bills every 2 months and discovered it only works on my ipad for some reason.
I too had trouble with the codice fiscale even though it was the correct one. Enel chat told me to clear the cache and try a different browser Google Chrome.
I can understand your frustration , I spent many hours getting a new account with Enel. I did have an Italian number to receive the code and still had problems. Enel chat told me to try using Google Chrome . That may have done the trick in the end plus including a written request. I registered and my credit card would not process but pay pal did. Good luck
I know what you mean the Canadian dollar isn't much better. At least your annual property tax will be low and you will save on the price of parmesan cheese!
That sounds reasonable . I know we had to scramble just days before our Rogito because things weren't too organized . I was able to send a wire transfer from my bank , which informed me it could take a few days. I seem to remember the notaio also charged a fee to distribute individual checks . Good luck !
I think Perugia is an excellent choice it has a large student community , with plenty to do within the city walls. Spello would be much quieter if that is what you are looking for.

Hi, The agency fee seems high don't you split that with the vendor 3% of the sale price?
