Someone posted on the old forum about the thousand-year old trails used for the movement of sheep herds from Abruzzo to Puglia.  I think they have a special name, but can't remember it. Anyway, a very go-ahead Abruzzese now offers the chance to wa

Has anyone seen this movie?  If so, can they explain the point of it? Saw it tonight and glad I'd bought the cheap seats! Has it been shown in Italy?  If so, what's the Italian verdict?

Saw this at my local fleapit this evening.  Specially recommended to those of us not in Italy - it conjures up the  Italian way of talking about and preparing food - I could almost taste the sparkling wine they were drinking.  This is a good preci

I've posted about this newsletter before, in the old forum, but thought I would remind those with an interest in S Marche of its continued existence.  It has now been going for a year, and a celebratory gathering is suggested in the latest edition

. . I'd say that Jepsonclough 's directions are spot-on, except that you need to take a definite RIGHT before the Bar Stazione - towards Montefortino.  Then Stefano's is on the left after the Conad and as described by Sprostoni PS - Sebastiano says elsewhere on this site that he's got a 25% discount sale on at the mo

....I mean all in.  for instance, we've just paid £44 for valet parking Thurs - Tues.  The longstay at Stansted would've been £40.   I book through Aadvark.

I can get out of my car at Stansted and be having my breakfast in Frankie and Bennie's having gone through security within 5-10 mins. That's due to online checkin and valet parking (which ony costs about a fiver more than the long-stay)True, I'm hanging around at the aiport for a couple of hours, but by the time I've ha breakfast, been to Boots & WH Smiths, got to the gate and settled down with the paper, it doesn't seem bad at allI've always said that you must remember to factor in waiting tme when deciding wich form of transport is the quickest.  But I must say having discovered the checkin and parking thingies, the airport wait is pretty hassle-free now

Although Amandola isa bit of a way from you, I would have a chat with Stefano Lucozzi before committng to bringing a stove frm UK. If your main concern is cost I'm not sure there'd be a lot in it by the time you've factored in the transport.Stefano also has a showroom in Tolentino. We did bring over a stove ( nearly killed us) but that was becuse wewanted a specficmake not available out in Italy.  We bought a second one from Stefano for about E800Nodoubt there are lots of other places you could buy a stove over here, but Stefno does speak v good English and is very helpful
