Sounds like a good collective noun. But there's definitely something going on. When I hover over the "Community Home - La Piazza" it turns into "Country Homes - restored". I think elicat has got at it already!!!
Trying to upload something, so have chosen my description of my train trip to Ancona, previously published in the old forum. Don't know if it will work, as I've had to use the "video" button as that seems to be the only upload at the momentA
I've clicked on ~"create a post", then given it a title. I've highlighted the topics "Introductions" and "Weddings", just to see where it ends up. I've put in my location, and tagged it "testing" and "posting".
Heeello - anybody there? I seem to be able to post even though my request to join is pending. A glitch, a back door, or my c*ck up?? Anyway, hope I'm in and I'll check back tomorrowAnne
Not sure if this is the right place for this but anyway..... I've managed to subscribe to posts and am now getting masses of emails. I can't find how to unsubscribe again. Can someone talk me through it?
Thanks all. The deed is done. Angie and Sebastiano you are invited to a viewing 2nd half of June (fingers crossed!)And anyone else in the vicinity of course.....
I've never done it but Canadian friends who spend 3 months in Italy from September always lease a car. Not the same as car hire and that's all I know but you might want to look into it.
what we need is a new form of politics, and given that Italy's system of Government is so broken, perhaps Italians could take the lead. interestig review by David Runciman of the above book in the Guardian yesterday (sorry don't know how to insert a link using a Tablet)
Whilst I agree you don't want them taking over everything, they support a lot of wildlife and that's my excuse for avoiding the thankless task of eradication (which you won't ever achieve anyway)
In one of the Abruzzo blogs (may have been this one https://www.facebook.com/lifeinabruzzo?fref=ts) I came across a wonderful description from the mid 19th century by an English traveller about the transhumance in Abruzzo (or "the Abruzzi" as they seemed to call it then). Best of all, he was travelling by horseback and with a little terrier! I don't have the document to hand, it's on my bookshelf in Italy, but you may find an Abruzzo resident will come along in due course. I'll go and look you book up now. I have a special interest in italians' experience of WW2 and am always looking for more books on the subject
you DEFINITELY need a good one of those. And probably a lawyer. Don't know the Italian system but in the Uk courts and tax aythorities routinely look behind the paperwork to ascertain the actual position. Just because a contract says someone is working as a freelance doesn't mean that will be accepted. If actually the coditions are such that they look like an employee, then that is what they may turn out to be. I use antonio del gaizo who has offices in uk and italy and understands both systems. his advert is above
Grazie Marco Cercavo l'immagine che puoi vedere cliccando l'indirizzo nel mio primo messaggio I was not searching for a copy of my avatar, which you correctly point out is the symbol of the Sibillini National Park. ciao alle belle Marche!
