P&O have introduced a new ferry on the Dover - Calais route - its called the Spirit of Britain.
They seem to have a special offer on at the moment [on this ship only]

If you google "Italy calculate IMU" there is a fair amount of useful advice.
Yet another poster who posts an innocuous post (usually on an old post) and some time later adds a hidden link to a website.

Probably worth a day on Capri - lots of boats from Positano. Also Amalfi and Sorrento are also worth a look. (By boat or, I think, scheduled bus services)
It really is an open ended question. Price will be affected by factors such as size of roof, ease of access, type of 'sealing' required etc etc.
I'd suggest you seek a couple (at least) of estimates from local tradesmen, and ask around for any recommendations.

Our Italian estate agent recommended an English speaking Geometra.
Worth noting - anyone under about 35 speaks some English (Even when they say they don't) - they learn it at school from an early age.
