Just wondering if there is anyone living in the Amandola/ Sarnano/ Force area who is not in Italy at the moment and has olives which need picking as we are hopefully going to the press next week.

We are just about to have our gas bombolla filled for the winter and were wondering if we could do a quick survey as last time our gas prices seemed much higher than our friends locally. Have just phoned Golden Gas and the price t
Well who could believe that is is a whole year since Karen found those 6 little puppies in a sack at the side of the road. To celebrate their first year, we decided to have a birthday party yesterday at Lago di Ruffino which was great fun.
Does anyone know why the posts are going on twice when I am only adding them once? Not sure what I am doing wrong?
A good Italian friend of ours had just lost her husband - they live in the UK, so we wanted to send them a card. We have been told locally that Italians would usually send a plain white card with a black stripe on the edge along with a flower.
Just wondering if anyone has recently completed a quote online for Direct Line car insurance - getting a bit stuck on a couple of the questions and was wondering if we could phone someone for help please.
At last, some hope for 94 families from the village of Onna. Homes built and bought by money raised by the Red Cross (so hopefully some of our fundraising has gone towards this).
Jessie loves playing stick in the woods, but really not sure where those long legs and huge ears have come from. Hope we can all get together for the pups 1st Birthday Party - will be great fun!

Thank you so much Karen and John - you are fantastic and your apartment is beautiful - hope I win!!!
That's Fantastic news - lets keep the ball rolling now!
Gala, on the subject of telephone books, we had our line finally connected last year and still have not received a phone book - do you have to ask for them or are they automatic like in the UK? If not, how and where do you get them as our Italian can't quite keep up with the speed of the TI recorded message to understand if it is through them. Many thanks.
Welcome Jaja56 to the Community - hope we can all help you out! As far as paint and woodstain go, if you can, you would be better bringing your own over as I really don't think there is such a thing as cheap paint in Italy!!! (or stop in Austria - Baumax is excellent, or Germany on the way). Our nearest 'B & Q' we use is Castarama off the Val Vibrata junction of the A14 motorway. There are none in Le Marche. Lidl do sometimes have offers on woodstain which is from Germany and very good value, so worth keeping an eye out - I think the last one we got from there was a very large tin for €7. There is Brico in Ascoli, but it is certainly not cheap. You can get paint mixed up for you in the Ferramenta's in Amandola near Bella Napoli (Montifortino Road). They are very helpful in there. Look forward to meeting you at some point - have you joined the Le Marche Chapter? If you are here on the 21st June, you are very welcome to come along and meet us at our L'Aquila Fundraising BBQ!!!Good luck with the house. Sarah and Mark
Andrew - would love to come over tonight - but 2 days in a row and you would be sick of us. Cash and carry sounds good - hope your meeting goes well. Would be interesting to meet him too.

Not sure about the BBQ plan - just counting the bricks in the old bbq which we will take down. Tray still €70. Not sure if it is worth it. Maybe get a smaller one made. Will come back to you on that. Just getting sick of running around to the iron place as we have been 5 times now and still no furher along!!! Our bricks = 80 Are yours normal size red bricks? Could you bring them on Friday? That's it for now
That's what I thought A, but when we said we had no posters they were upset and we didn't know how in Italian to explain the legal side of it. Maybe I could just write out some sort of smaller invites and hand them to them??? Don't want to feel we have left them out as they have always been helpful in the past. Pain my printer still not functioning!!!!
That is very kind and would be very useful back-up if we can't get a lower price for basically a tin tray! Does anyone else know a welder? Thanks so much for your Thai parcel too - have resisted so far and locked them away to avoid temptation! Have emailed M about Dogs!
