Just wondering if there is anyone living in the Amandola/ Sarnano/ Force area who is not in Italy at the moment and has olives which need picking as we are hopefully going to the press next week.

We are just about to have our gas bombolla filled for the winter and were wondering if we could do a quick survey as last time our gas prices seemed much higher than our friends locally. Have just phoned Golden Gas and the price t
Well who could believe that is is a whole year since Karen found those 6 little puppies in a sack at the side of the road. To celebrate their first year, we decided to have a birthday party yesterday at Lago di Ruffino which was great fun.
Does anyone know why the posts are going on twice when I am only adding them once? Not sure what I am doing wrong?
A good Italian friend of ours had just lost her husband - they live in the UK, so we wanted to send them a card. We have been told locally that Italians would usually send a plain white card with a black stripe on the edge along with a flower.
Just wondering if anyone has recently completed a quote online for Direct Line car insurance - getting a bit stuck on a couple of the questions and was wondering if we could phone someone for help please.
At last, some hope for 94 families from the village of Onna. Homes built and bought by money raised by the Red Cross (so hopefully some of our fundraising has gone towards this).

WOW - you pub sounds better than ours! I think we will have to look into getting a pool table and dart board!(sorry just seen the new smileys and texts etc!) and a spell check!!!!!!
Will get you a beer in Andrew - cheers!
Thanks Andrew - yes that's what we were thinking about but from our experiences of Makro from when we had a restaurant in the UK, very often they were more expensive than our local supermarket! If you go, maybe you could price up chicken, burgers, sausages etc etc - oh and paper plates and other BBQey things.
Welcome -and thank you for your kind offer. It will be great to meet you at the BBQ (and any friends you may be able to bring along).
Looking forward to our charity event on the 21st - let's get all our invites out and see how many potential 'punters' we may get!
S & JHave just called in to the repair shop in Amandola as we were trying to get our strimmer fixed. They do repair electric chain saws but they only do the mechanical side not the electrical side so it may be worth a try.He told us to go to the filling station in Comunanza (near the carpark) as they do repairs also.Hope it helps!
SanGThank you - very interesting - Do you mean a UK credit card from a UK bank? - if you do, do you have to have a UK address also?
Well we have the dancing chickens Moxie. Do we know any clowns?
As far as your chain saw goes, you could try Husqvana in Amandola if it is not too far for you. It is on the trading estate near Maxi Coal/ Sibilla Cheese shop. They are very helpful and very cheap for repairs and will do a good job on a service, but the only problem is that if it needs any spare parts no one seems to carry McCullogh as the Italians prefer Stihl and dont seem to use McCullogh (we have the same problem with ours!).
I wanted to start a photo competition in the Marche forum in our previous life and have already submitted my entry. It was based on a theme 'why I love Italy' or something like that. Maybe we can get it going now????
