Can anyone tell us if they have any experience of applying for an Italian credit card (or even if it is possible at all). We want to be able to purchase things on Ebay and our Paypal account needs to be linked to a credit card.Thank you.
Just in case anyone missed it and to provide the entertainment for our first night in the pub, here is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest - Norway!
Welcome to our new 'pub'. Looking forward to some interesting chats, late nights, lots of wine and parties etc......No seriously where shall we start?.........Moxie?
Looks like the general opinion is that the top up card is the way to go - thanks everyone - I will be off to the Post Office to find out more about getting on in the morning.
Yes only playing as we got excited when we saw we could upload photos and that was the first pic we came across. Will have a look later for some more 'rougher lions' to suit us better, David!
Thank you everyone for your advice so far. We don't have a bank account in Italy as the fees are way too high, but we have a Banco Posta account (only €39 per year fees) which only has a Maestro card attached to it. This can't be used with Paypal unfortunately. Elicat, will have a look at Barclays, thanks for the info and will definitely find out about the top-up card option - thanks Bill for the link.
Hi Ronald - You are very welcome to be an honoury member of the Red Lion and it's good to see you here.Always loved Eurovision as a child - didn't see the serious side to it then!Yes Bring Back Italy Campaign - who is going to start that one????
Whilst you are there Ronald, is there a way to add a video inside rather than starting a new thread (as in our Welcome section)? Can't see a way of doing it yet? Thanks I know you are very busy!
Anne - we went to the Smerillo Festa the following week as well and there were some delicious cakes there too - all filled (in many different ways) with chestnut. Looking forward to this years Autumn Festivals.
