As we're in the process of negotiating on 2 ruined farmhouses in Le Marche, the new Piano Casa 2009 rules pertaining to possible expansion of the property volume are extremely interesting.
Hi againCould someone give me an idea as to what I should be paying in the present market for land in le marche (near force). Half of the land we are interested in is flat and currently used for arable crops and looks good quality.
If I'm purchasing a property from a foreign owner, does the transaction have to be done in Euro or could it be done in a currency more agreeable to the vendor and myself?
Ciao Tutti! We're searching for a ruined farmhouse to restore in Le Marche and are getting a bit frustrated with UK agents who seem to talk a good talk at first, but then complain that they are unable to find anything matching our criteria or that
Brilliant - yes a huge help thanks. Luckily the area I'm looking at is just on the bottom of the montegiorgio square so I can align it with google earth and check all is well. Thanks again!Brancusi
Thanks PennyThe links don't seem to work outside of the website, but searching for piano casa in the article title (rather than the article text) seems to find those 2 ... thanks again!brancusi
Hertz should deliver a new car. I had a breakdown with them in Le Marche a few weeks ago and after a lot of arguing they agreed that they should be doing this. In my case they couldn't deliver one in time (the car broke down on a Saturday night and we needed one on Sunday AM to get to the airport) and they agreed to refund the taxi fare with a limit of 400 Euro on the cost. The taxi was 140 Euro to Ancona and one email to the UK office sorted out an immediate refund.I would say however that their first response was to wash their hands of it and say it wasn't their problem, it took a lot of pushing and reading parts of the contract to them before they agreed they should be doing more to help!Good luck ...brancusi
That's great to know - at least it's an option! I'll bear that in mind should we make more progress in the negotiations!Such a useful forum this!!brancusi
Thanks all!We spent a few days getting in touch with more agents and have at last been impressed with one who has come up with a viewing list of plenty of property - any of which quite frankly looks suitable at first glance! We've booked the flights and hopefully will find somethig this time ... we've been looking for a couple of years now in other areas and at last I feel we're looking in the right place for our budget. Thanks especially to Elicat - I've been drawing up a list of questions and the one about any financial interest for the agent (or solicitor) isn't one I had thought of...Will report back if we find something...b
