We have just had new windows and shutters made. We have used aluminium windows and steel shutters - not the cheapest but the most secure. Remember to get Zinzare screens included in the quote if you have Mosquitos in the summer. Kind regards,Iain.
Good route Alan. The price for Switzerland is was 40 Euros or 40 Swiss Francs at the border. I obviously paid 40 Swiss Francs (by credit card) because it is cheaper.
Thank you.
Thank you. I guess that would be an extra 200km on the most direct route?
Thank you for your reply. The house was totally rebuilt. The 5 years start from the time it was finsihed.
Thank you for your replies. I have owned the house for more than 5 years. However, by a quirk of the Italian law this is irrelevant if you rebuild a house - the 5 years starts from the date the house was finished - in my case 2011. I understand about the capital gains situation in the UK. As I said in my original post the capital gains is higher in Italy due to not having a capital gains allowance in Italy.
