Panner, Super, very full and clear explanation, AND it all makes sense when you think about it, thanks a lot ! I think sometimes, the wording of these rulings are very open to interpretation, but I tend to lean towards the worst case interpretaion and therefore (ergo, quindi !)........I am rarely disappointed. JaneFAB, you have missed a vowel out of the last word ! I had similar (not as serious though!) problems with one of my neighbours, it has taken three years for him to come around to accepting me, we now even stop for a chat in the village ! I agree with a lot of what others have said here, but I tend to try try try to come to a compromise and when I have had enough, I would then just go for it, the ball is then in their court to respond to you! One always tries to accommodate others but it sounds like you've done all you can............ fingers crossed ! S
State pensions are only liable for Italian tax if one has Italian nationality...... I note the word 'State' is used, which I assume means that a private (work related) pension would be liable ? S
I have always queried the benefits of being resident here in Italy. Having said that, is it not a legal requirement to become resident if you spend 185 days or more per year here? S
The 'messenger' can ONLY be trying to wind 'us' up. I also know lots of Italians who have more than one property. Our immediate neighbour (a contadina farmer) has at least FOUR !! S
Who pays for the tractors ? I think in the UK, farmers actually get paid through grants from the EU for NOT producing some produce ? I seem to recall butter 'mountains' being built years ago? S
