Well................Having now persevered and lost track of threads/posts etc mainly because I do a few other things and then come back here...........connect up and see EIGHT pages of new messages.....................I cannot possibly keep up....
I'm sorry (Ronald......or whoever else is involved!)..Having made a living from IT for THIRTY years and believing to possess a fair understanding of technology and how to deliver systems.................I would have absolutely ha
Is there somewhere or something hidden in the bowels of Italmag where I could find what the rules are on medical expenses as in being charged for a check up...............we are residents and I am 60 years young, we are 'allegedly' to pay IF we ha
I have to go for blood tests and the doctor was asking what my income is (I am 60yrs young), if it is OVER 10,000euros I have to pay..........(I don't have any income as such in ITALY), I do have a pension paid in the UK (over 10,000euros) through
Panner, Super, very full and clear explanation, AND it all makes sense when you think about it, thanks a lot ! I think sometimes, the wording of these rulings are very open to interpretation, but I tend to lean towards the worst case interpretaion and therefore (ergo, quindi !)........I am rarely disappointed. S
So, panner....you say.......... So far as pensions are concerned, pensions from the state, which means from employment by the state and does NOT include the usual old age retirement pension that everyone gets, are exempt from Italian tax unless received by an Italian National. The UK old age pension paid by the UK government is therefore taxable in Italy if Italian tax resident What would this INCLUDE ? Have you got some examples ? S
JaneFAB, you have missed a vowel out of the last word ! I had similar (not as serious though!) problems with one of my neighbours, it has taken three years for him to come around to accepting me, we now even stop for a chat in the village ! I agree with a lot of what others have said here, but I tend to try try try to come to a compromise and when I have had enough, I would then just go for it, the ball is then in their court to respond to you! Good Luck, S
A secret , a surprise, still to come................!!!! The very best of (in my case) British. I always fight for what I believe is the RIGHT thing to do ! At least then, in years to come, you can look back and say 'well,...... based upon the knowledge that I had at the time, I did the right thing'. One always tries to accommodate others but it sounds like you've done all you can............ fingers crossed ! S
State pensions are only liable for Italian tax if one has Italian nationality...... I note the word 'State' is used, which I assume means that a private (work related) pension would be liable ? S
I have always queried the benefits of being resident here in Italy. Having said that, is it not a legal requirement to become resident if you spend 185 days or more per year here? S
The 'messenger' can ONLY be trying to wind 'us' up. I also know lots of Italians who have more than one property. Our immediate neighbour (a contadina farmer) has at least FOUR !! S
Who pays for the tractors ? I think in the UK, farmers actually get paid through grants from the EU for NOT producing some produce ? I seem to recall butter 'mountains' being built years ago? S
