As many of you know, neighbours in Italy can be marvellous. As I have recently had a lawn sown, 120 bay laurel trees and various other plants planted, my worry was how to water them now they are young and in the coming hot summer months.
For a more recent update on Tess one can follow this thread on another forum. http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=646288 I believe Tess was feeling somewhat desperate at the time of writing but perhaps in the light of dawn saw things were maybe not as bleak as first thought?
Also they have resumed the Liverpool-Pisa flights again which is good. Not Marchè I know but neighbours.Did a quick price check for May and it was getting up there already....................
Well my partner told me our electricity went off yesterday and again this morning in storms. I had never heard of the Gewiss but now I have and also that Mrs Noddy says it works a treat, I will be getting one on my return. A must have I would say. Thanks.
After being recommended by everyone as the best and purist soap, I have taken to using Sapone di Marsiglia for everything. For personal use and laundry I love it as it has a smell of 'days gone by'. Although Italian woman say how pure and wonderful it is for the skin I'm not sure if that authentic smell is natural or not so you would have to check first.
Hi Tammy,Pilchard is absolutely right and I must apologise for not having studied your post in enough detail and taken it seriously. I had a quick read and after the reference to Morocco, etc. my first though was that it was perhaps a bit of a spoof post to see how many respond and to be taken lightly. We have a lot of expats from GB, especially in Spain, who after moving complain that everything is in a foreign language and no one speaks any English. Not that you were doing that but I believed your post was a skit on that scenario. I was thinking of putting a p.s. just in case (I did see the sweet piccy of you and Hubby) but didn't in the end. Cynical old me.......Sorry.
Without rent/mortgage €30.000 should be ample to live pretty comfortably once you get to know the best places to shop and how to use the utilities. Eurospin for example is a sort of Aldi/Lidl and it is amazing what you can buy for €50.

Thanks, I rather enjoyed that and as I am working in France at the moment I shall be using it after the holiday.
