As many of you know, neighbours in Italy can be marvellous. As I have recently had a lawn sown, 120 bay laurel trees and various other plants planted, my worry was how to water them now they are young and in the coming hot summer months.
Not being able to book for Christmas Pisa-Liverpool, I toyed for a few days with the idea of Pisa-Birmingham which still seems to operate twice weekly in winter. Decided to make the booking after all but as I pressed the final OK confirmation button an ERROR page came up (again) which told me I may be booked and would be re-directed but never was. Next morning had to phone the service number costing €1.83pm and although only on for a few minutes was told I was not booked and to try again. In my annoyance I grudgingly started to re-book thinking the price may have gone up in the meantime and to my surprise it was €55 cheaper!!!!!!!!!! Don't you just love 'em?
Hello and welcome to the community.I was surprised when I saw your posts as you have taken the same avatar that I use and I thought that's strange as I haven't posted today.Nice town Vicenza, I have sung in the opera house there and in a Verdi opera as well! Ciao.
Just got an email to say my partners flight from Pisa/Dublin/Pisa already booked for mid November has now been cancelled.Oh well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry if I am stating the obvious but have you got your dish pointed at the right degree and is it large enough? My dish is 1.5m for Northern Tuscany and as you are much further south I assume yours would need to be larger.Hope you get sorted.
Well my garden is about the same size and it cost me €700 to get a lawn sown. That included the gardner tilling the earth, seed (Prato Forte) and I suppose throwing it onto the soil. It started to come up quite nicely this spring but is now a bed of straw due to the drought which neighbours say is the worst for 200 years. I'm sure it's not but indeed it hasn't rained here over 9 weeks.
I was standing outside my garage (no door yet) at dusk a couple of weeks ago and a bat flew out and off. I was quite excited that I might have bats in the beams but never saw any again. Mind you after reading Gromits post maybe it isn't such a 'bat' thing after all!

Yeepee! I am told it has indeed rained the whole day and should continue off and on for the rest of the week.
As Adriatica says, pop it in the freezer (it won't freeze) and it will last for ages. So good after a dinner or anytime you feel like it really.

I have a 1.5m dish on my garage and didn't need permission and as far as I know, no complaints from the neighbours.
Thanks for that Ronald. I shall now add a couple more piccys to my album.
