We would like to know if it is true that under new tax law in Italy, if we want to purchase a house in Italy our real estate we own in USA have to be taxed too?

Is it still a buyers market to buy a property in Italy in Abruzzo or Tuscany area with the changes in taxation for foreigners ? I know this is a very broad question but we like to purchase a two to three bedroom house or aprt near coastal area .

We finally found our dolce vita in Casoli, Abruzzo. About 45 mins to Pescara, 25 mins to the coast. I read your postings here many years ago before covid. We are also from Southern California Inland Empire. We passed by your town last fall on our way to Sulmona which is about 2 hours from Casoli.

Yes, it has been about two years. Hope all is well with you. Due to pandemic, we have not travelled anywhere unfortunately. It seems like things are getting better here in USA and some parts of the world. We hope we can go back to Italy sometime in 2023 and go look for a place.

Is there a real estate board in Italy like Dept of Consumer Affairs in Real Estate in US that you can report these bad Real Agent agents that take advantage of hard earn money by people who wants to invest in Italy.
it is very important to do diligence but no guarantees We hope you can get your money back somehow.

Now we got vaxxed and boosted we plan to start looking again this coming summer back to Italy.
