We have formed a Societa' Agricola which has puchased our new farm. I am guessing that when I pay the IMU, the F24 needs to be in the name of the Societa' as this is the owner of the property.

We sold a house privately last year. We still paid an agent to do all the paperwork. As it was a private sale we didn't pay them a commission. Both us and the buyer paid them €500 each. All parties were happy and they paperwork got done properly. It might be another option for you.
Hmmm - I'm not sure Allan is in a small minority. I think the majority of people on here either live here full time (no plans to return to the UK) or plan to in the future but I'm happy to be corrected. For us we are more interested in the GBP to EUR rate as Allan says than any gain or loss on taking our money back to the UK.

You'd only be able to put it on ebay Italy anyway so that may not help. You can put it on this site under Items for Sale or Free (look on the right). Otherwise there are various sites that will let you advertise for free. Just do a google search for property in Italy or real estate in italy and you'll find lots.

No but if they say they do it then I'm sure they do. Their customer services is second to none. Great place for really good quality linens at reasonable prices (unlike here where they are lovely but horrendous prices).
