After moving to Italy things changed for me in a way I could never have imagined. One night I poured my heart out on a forum,(Italymag) I received at lot of help, support and advice from people who didn’t know me but were kind enough to care.
Disgusting b*stards, what if you hadn't found them? Makes me so angry that people get away with this behaviour. I have rescued numerous animals since coming to Italy but once I consider it mine I have it spayed. My next door neighbour currently has 18 cats because she takes in other peoples, it's costing her a fortune but she says she has no choice. Can't imagine what would happen if she stopped looking after them..
Italy is moving all the time but fortunately we don't feel most of it. i have to go round with the polyfiller every year. My house is an old farmhouse but some of the properties I look after are new builds and they also move and crack, as ong as they stay up nobody minds!
Ya, facebook went mad almost immediately, with people saying they felt it, but all ok. It was the strongest one I have felt. I haven't been round with the pollyfiller yet from the one last year :)
Hi Dreamer, I am in Emilia Romagna my book 'The diary of a single parent abroad' is about my life since moving here 9 yrs ago. Paperback - http://www.feedaread.com/books/The-diary-of-a-single-parent-abroad-9781781765456.aspx Do you have a link to your book? If you are on Facebook there is a group that puts all the Italy expat wriers together. pm me if you want details.
Wood only becomes 'seasoned' after it has been cut into logs. I had loads of trees felled on my land two years ago, got them logged end of September and discovered they were no good for this winter so need to store them for next year.

I assume it's similar to an orphaned kitten, just regular feeds and gently tickle its tummy to make it pee. Good luck.

And me, I deleted it without looking at it.
Never seem to see them in shops Esme, people in my village seem to give food gifts instead. Oh no.. it's Panetone time. :)
Expected by who? Italians don't do christmas cards or tips.
I'm still getting over the news that I don't have to pay it as I have 3 kids under the age of 26, I love my comune!
