After moving to Italy things changed for me in a way I could never have imagined. One night I poured my heart out on a forum,(Italymag) I received at lot of help, support and advice from people who didn’t know me but were kind enough to care.

Well I have a tiny house (3 up 2 down) and would think I get through 80 qnt every year. Though I have no gas, I have  a solid fuel cooker that is on al day every day for 7 months, then just used evenings to cook with for 3 months. With a small stufe upstairs that is used Dec-April.

I thought if you had 4 wheel drive and snow tyres then chains were'nt obligatory. Fortunately I never got stopped in snow! Wish I still had it.

sagraiasolar Why would you need snow chains on a Landy? I live in the middle of a field and I rarely put mine in 4 wheel drive it was brill, (ex-military) as long as i made tracks thru the snow once a day it would have no trouble getting out. I miss it and would love another but don't have the dosh. It got thru deisel qucker than I get thru wine! Just out of interest is it lhd?

SirTK, I have something called a 'click it' from Boots (tho made in Italy) sounds like the same thing you are talking about. A small plastic thing that gives a small electric shock and kills the sting, also works with nettle stings. It's brilliant I carry it with me all the time and whip it out whenever needed. The Italians love it but can't find em over here anywhere.

I charge 10 euro per hour for cleaning/linen, when I have a meet n greet I make sure they have my number and they are asked to text me when they get to the nearest town so I only have to charge for approx 1 hour, it makes no sense to sit in someones house for hours and for the client to pay for it as often they do get lost.
