Does anyone know where online you can find heavy duty plastic storage boxes for stuff we want to put away for a time,preferably boxes you can stack on top of each other? I have found plenty in England but I need some now in Italy.

So far I have been fairly lucky with the traffic at St Gothard Tunnel but I have seen the traffic backing up in the opposite direction and have been very glad not to be in it. Is there any advice as to how to avoid the jams there?

I am intending to leave Marche on Sat 3 Sep by car to drive home. Will I miss the traffic that causes huge jams on the motorway as Italians drive home from their summer holidays?

What i did was to call the Comune who gave me the names and numbers of two agencies who will calculate IMU (at least in this part of Marche).They were CIA and Confartigianato. i called the second as they were nearer, they quoted me 10 euros and I gave them my and my wife's CF. We went there the next day, the guy worked out our IMU (having got all the catastal info from the comune as I had none here in Italy- we are non-resident)and didn't even charge as he knew someone who we knew blah blah.. So far so good. BUT we have to pay about THREE times our old ICI! Can this be right?? How much more are others paying on seconda casa?
Can i add to Charlotte's advice that if you decide to make an Italian Will to simplify the obtaining of a grant of probate your English Will should state that your Italian property is excluded. Also i would mention in case people are worried that virtually all Wills made in the UK through solicitors are expressed to cover all the testators property "whatsoever and wheresoever" or something similar; nevertheless it is sensible to check.

I have looked at Obi's catalogue and cannot see storage boxes. Have I missed them or maybe they are not sold online? And do you know what a storage box is in Italian? The nearest i can find is deposito.

I have found Intasure helpful and efficient and my premium with them went up only a bit. However if Groupama are so much cheaper then...but is communication harder with them than a UK company and is the cover the same?
