Hi  We need urgent information on this as we have been told what looks like rubble to us is "stabilizzante" a mix of gravel and sand to harden off and level out an area where a building has been knocked down to create a solid base....?

Hi   Has anyone any idea if the Italian Poste has the equivalent of a bankers draft and if so, are there are any limits on the amount and what is the cost...?

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the current cost to have an old(ish) 250sqm house rewired? Also do you know if they do low level voltage lighting?

We are unsure about moving articles over there as opposed to buying when we get there, but know it will likely cost more to buy over there and be more hassle. So we want to get an idea of the cost of moving some of our stuff out there?

We are here in Abruzzo now and are thinking about privately buying a car. We have been told we need a notario to buy, is that correct? If this is the case does anyone have any idea of the likely cost?

A bit like asking for a vite and getting offered a vine in the ferramenta, yes it could have been worse...frown

There should be a "like" buttonsmiley Ugo, but you are a little to blame Ugo. Google translate (as bad as it is) is a lot better these days. But you need to keep it simple and have to try to check it... Our ferramenta was very good at it and it give them all (3 brothers) a very good laugh at times!

I would start by having a look at the ACI here, not them you want, but may be of help.

Very useful information Ugo, thanks.

Use google translate to write out what you want, go to the ferramenta with a copy and show it to them! Most likely a number of plumbers use their shop!

Hi Teolo, which part of ENEL are you with (check on your bill) as it likely makes a big difference to anyone trying to help.

You are right to look for confirmation of what you need to be looking at, being an EU citizen (for now) does make a difference, I doubt 1 & 2 above apply. Hopefully others here will advise the correct position for you, but I would still look around for more information - look for official sites... Good luck!

Make sure there are no spaces in the email entered, or "+" signs. It may also be that they are blocking "." (dot) which many use. If gmail, you can leave the dot out and it will still get to you. At a push create a new email just for this such as "NameMyItalyEmail@gmail.com". I've used several emails for some years now and always have a "dump" email address for companies I don't know, trust or will only ever use once...
