Hi  We need urgent information on this as we have been told what looks like rubble to us is "stabilizzante" a mix of gravel and sand to harden off and level out an area where a building has been knocked down to create a solid base....?

Hi   Has anyone any idea if the Italian Poste has the equivalent of a bankers draft and if so, are there are any limits on the amount and what is the cost...?

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the current cost to have an old(ish) 250sqm house rewired? Also do you know if they do low level voltage lighting?

We are unsure about moving articles over there as opposed to buying when we get there, but know it will likely cost more to buy over there and be more hassle. So we want to get an idea of the cost of moving some of our stuff out there?

We are here in Abruzzo now and are thinking about privately buying a car. We have been told we need a notario to buy, is that correct? If this is the case does anyone have any idea of the likely cost?

... to sit on it and that is a mix of gravel and sand specifically bought to do this and level the area? Never seen any hardcore like this, but there has been a lot of rain... However the area next to it, established white road, was almost dry with the sun today. This stuff you would sink in to if you stood in it.... bit like cement but with chunks...

.. the rubble was supposed to be removed, and we have been told it has been, but they have put this down to level out the area as otherwise it could flood. To us it looks like the rubble crushed and as we are in the process of buying, would not like to have to desl with it afterwards.... ty

... folks that gives us a good idea. We had looked at the UK prices, but they are like anywhere I guess and vary so much... i.e. £3000 to £10,000 for an average 3 bedrooms house!!! Of course depending on who and where in the UK and if they are just rip-off merchants .... As usual invaluable information from the forum.... Thanks again. :)

.. you can get from Ncl to Rome (Fiu unfortunately) with KLM... Don't look at one-way they are astronomical, but return flights when you look into it although look dear, they are not much more than sleazyjet... You change at either CDG Amsterdam, but cases are straight through , allowance is included and 23kg and you get fed (if that's what you call it)... Time are numerous...  Note you also can get by train to LeedB, ok you need a link bus from Leeds
