Just how much cheaper us the resident tarrif compared to non resident? I just divided my bill (over two months) by my usage, and arrived at just under 28 cents per kwh.How would that change if I became resident?

What I meant Paulo is that foreigners will be wary of taking up residence due to the plethora of taxes they could face if they have property and money in their motherland. Eg IMU on seconda casa and tax on savings even if in an ISA.

Thanks Alan, but I couldn't find any info about standing charges/ delivery charges etc just a bare figure for the energy, hard to make a comparison when one considers how complicated an ENEL bill is.
Geothermal used to mean a deep borehole through which you pumped your water to heat it up considerably and now somehow it also encompasses ground source heat pumps. I'm not keen on the description.Call me old fashioned..
I've also had bad experiences with suprermarket fuel in France, albeit some years ago. BP diesel works best for me.
