Just how much cheaper us the resident tarrif compared to non resident? I just divided my bill (over two months) by my usage, and arrived at just under 28 cents per kwh.How would that change if I became resident?

Only problem with security firms, down here is... if you cancel the contract you will definitely be broken in to! I must add that the tri-oso super10 and dry lining has made a big difference to the cosyness of the house, but we have run out of dosh to fit the heating system of our dreams. However our two 9kw woodburners pretty much heat the whole house.
Our two big dogs are certainly a disincentive to would be robbers .. but if we are away then the security firm is useful.
We pay around 700 annually for a radio alarm system , pretty sure you could get the TV camera too for that. The installation was 500 or so. The firm is Sveviapol. A necessity down here.

They read your meter electronically with no 'meter reader' visits! I agree the website is a bit clunky, but the email link when you get the bill works quite well.
